Seed Bank & Trading

Track your genetics library, germination results, and find related plants by breeder.

Your growing plants are only part of your collection. CannaPal’s Seed Bank helps you keep track of the genetics you have on hand and what you’ve grown from them.

Your seed library

Add seeds to your Seed Bank to keep a record of your genetics. For each entry you can track the strain, breeder, a photo, a listing URL (handy for remembering where you got it), and your notes.

Germination tracking

CannaPal lets you record germination results for your seeds — how many germinated successfully, how many failed, and how many are currently germinating. Over time this builds a real picture of how a given pack or breeder performs for you, which is genuinely useful information when deciding what to run next.

Breeder matters

A detail worth understanding: CannaPal takes breeders seriously. Two different breeders can both sell a strain called “Alien OG,” but they’re not the same genetics. So when CannaPal looks for related plants — connecting a seed to plants you’ve grown from it — it matches on the strain name and the breeder. That means two same-named strains from different breeders stay correctly separated, and you don’t get one breeder’s cut showing up under another’s listing.

If either side hasn’t recorded a breeder, CannaPal falls back to matching on strain name alone, so older entries still connect — but filling in the breeder gives you the most accurate links.

Wishlist

Keep a wishlist of genetics you want to grow in the future, so the strain you spotted and meant to track down doesn’t slip your mind.

Where to go next

The Reminders & Notifications guide covers how CannaPal can nudge you when it’s time to feed or change a reservoir.
